South Korean esports organization DragonX (DRX) has named Wednesday former T1 Entertainment & Sports (T1) head coach Choi “cCarter’ Choi Byoung as its new general manager. Choi Byoung will start his position at DRX in 2021, according to the announcement.
With Choi Byoung leading the T1 League of Legends team as the head coach, T1 became the most dominant League of Legends esports team in 2013-2017, winning three League of Legends World Championships (Worlds 2013, 2015, and 2016), two Mid-Season Invitationals, and six League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK). He was also the head coach of T1’s PUBG and Dota 2 division.
DRX was previously known as Kingzone DragonX. The organization renamed to DRX this year and was eliminated by another LCK team Damwon Gaming (DWG) in Worlds 2020 knockout stage.
