Singapore-based esports tournament and media network company Esports Players League (ESPL) announced that it has secured a seven-digit Pre-Series A financing round led by Swedish esports investment firm RightBridge Ventures. The company intends to use the investment proceeds to fund its future growth including international expansion and platform improvements.
Further investors that participated in the round include Genting Ventures, Warner Music Asia, Datuk Wira SM Faisal SM Nasimuddin’s private investment arm Puncak Geliga Capital, Singapore based investment company CRAES, iCandy Interactive, Sedania Innovator, Michael Broda, and Kin Wai Lau. As part of its investment into the company, Warner Music Asia established a strategic working relationship with ESPL, which “includes an integration of becoming the exclusive music partner on ESPL’s platform.”
ESPL previously received a $1M USD seed investment led by venture capital firm 500 Startups, which the mobile-focused company used to launch its first tournament series.
