Evil Geniuses have sent G2 Esports to the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown. The North American side toppled the Berlin based organization 2-1 in the Group B consolidation final which qualified EG for the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2021.
Vincent ‘Brehze’ Cayonte was the star of the show, having netted a +22 kill-to-death differential across the series with 94.9 average damage per round. Tarik ‘tarik’ Celik who has notoriously not been the biggest performer in EG put up a strong performance in the series as well with a +15 and 88.5 ADR. The first map of the series rode those numbers from tarik & Brehze as they won 16-12.
Peter ‘stanislaw’ Jarguz and co. wouldn’t be able to transition that to a 2-0, however, as G2’s map pick of Vertigo would go their way 16-9 on the back of a teamwide strong performance. Nemanja ‘nexa’ Isaković led the team with a +7 k/d and 91.4 ADR.
Unfortunately G2 couldn’t keep that momentum either, being absolutely decimated on the third map of Nuke. Brehze put on a clinic with a133.7 ADR on the map and a +17 k/d while tarik also finished with a 103.1 ADR himself.
