Hamburg-based marketing agency Jung von Matt SPORTS has appointed Timo Karamustafa to help develop esports projects and clients.
Karamustafa previously served as Director of Esports Services at ESL Gaming America and has worked in esports for over five years in total.

The 36-year-old will support the agency in the fields of new business and internationalisation and add essential industry insider knowledge, according to the agency. Karamustafa will report directly to head of Esports, Carl Kuhn.
Kuhn spoke on the hire: “Esports continues to be a strong growth field and creative driver for us at Jung von Matt SPORTS. In order to continue our trajectory in the space, to keep growing and serving our clients at the highest level, it was clear that we needed to expand our team. And we’re happy to have found just the right player to bring on board in Timo. His industry experience will enrich our team and his global track record will help us develop our esports portfolio even further.”

Karamustafa commented on his new venture: “After my time in the US, I was looking for a new challenge in esports upon returning to Germany.
