In a continuation of its partnership with Riot Games for the Valorant Champions Tour, Red Bull has announced a new global university esports competition, the Red Bull Campus Clutch. The tournament will see university-age students compete against one another through three phases of competition – a qualifier round, National Finals, and ultimately a World Final event. The World Final will offer a €20K ($24.3K USD) prize pool.
Notably, while the Campus Clutch is a tournament for university students, teams will not be restricted to a specific school, allowing players to build teams across their respective region.
Red Bull will serve as the tournament organizer, and has lined up multiple sponsors for the event including AOC, SteelSeries, and Intel. Each will serve as the equipment partner for their respective products.
The qualification round will begin in Feb. and runs until May 23.
