Today’s Apex Legends update is all about removing annoying bugs before the big Season 10 release.
The full patch notes have been confirmed and they include a rundown of what has been tweaked in the last build.
The new Apex update is available to download now across PS4, Xbox One, PC and next-gen consoles and includes small but important fixes.
This includes Revenant’s Silence description showing the wrong duration, a problem that has now been removed from the game.
This annoying glitch could cost gamers dearly and should no longer be an issue across platforms.
Meanwhile, Respawn has also made the Ranked Queues more stable, which should lead to fewer problems jumping into games.
The full patch notes shared by Respawn can be found below and include the following changes:
- Players becoming un-readied when changing legends in ranked queues
- The legend select screen occasionally being skipped
- A rare bug that enabled shooting while downed
- Revenant’s Silence description showing the wrong duration
- Private Match crashes
- Miscellaneous stability fixes.
Today’s patch will be one of the last released by Respawn before they bring Season 10 to Apex Legends.
This big update is being launched on August 3 and includes a range of new content to enjoy, including big news regarding a new character.
Seer will be available to unlock next month, boasting stealth abilities that should make him a unique choice.
Apex Legends tease new character Loba's abilities and skills
“With microdrones and an artist’s eye, Seer spots opportunities that other Legends might miss, and seizes them in the most beautiful way he can,” the official character description adds.
Another big change coming to Apex Legends during Season 10 is the massive map overhaul planned for World’s Edge.
The new changes will be part of the game’s official story, with months of aggressive mining leaving the land overmined, overburdened, and pushed to its limit.
The earth has fractured and erupted as nature is reclaiming what’s hers. Hammond is scrambling to contain the damage they’ve caused, using weather-controlling machines to rapidly cool the area to sub-zero temperatures at the Climatizer and building a Lava Siphon to stabilize the caldera.
New Points of Interest include:
Let’s start by looking at what used to be the Refinery. The Refinery has now been wiped out by a molten lava fissure and replaced with a much bigger POI called Climatizer. The idea here is that Hammond has constructed massive cloud seeding towers to cool down World’s Edge, and this new POI features the necessary equipment.
The planet has fractured all the way from the Climatizer to Fragment East, with a bubbling lava river connecting the two. The main difference with the crack in the north is that it does not have the updraft airlift mechanic. Instead, it is traversable like all the other lava in the map and inflicts damage to the player if stepped on.
We’re bringing back some of the dynamic gameplay that trains once offered in World’s Edge, but this time with something new. We’re introducing moving gondolas in two of the new POIs, Climatizer and Lava Siphon. These moving gondola carts will provide a confined safe passageway for you and your squad across the threatening lava and the POIs.
