Call of Duty Modern Warfare release time schedule: Preload and launch times

The countdown to Call of Duty : Modern Warfare has well and truly begun, and there isn’t much time left to wait until all the new features can be enjoyed.

This is going to be the biggest COD launch in recent years, and to say fans are excited is an understatement.

Lots of people are gearing up for Infinity Ward’s reboot of the popular 2007 game.

Activision has now finally provided some much-needed information about the upcoming release of the first-person shooter.

As you may already know, the worldwide official release date for Modern Warfare 2019 is Friday, October 25 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

However, it may also not come as a surprise to you that it's not actually that simple.

This is because of pre-load times, time zones etc.

Preload times are a great way for gamers to download the game onto their console so that when the release time comes, they are good to go.

So here we break it down for you, so you know the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Release Time Schedule, no matter where you are in the world.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare release date and time:


If you’re a PC gamer, you need to know is that you can start pre-installing the game on from today, October 22 at 10am PDT for anyone who pre-purchased the game.

But the official PC launch time is at 6pm PDT, or 9pm EDT on Thursday, October 24.

This is 2am BST on October 25, or 3am CEST, 4am MSK, 10am KST or 9am SGT.

PS4 and Xbox One:

Pre-loading on console has been underway since last week, so if you have pre-purchased the game you can do that now.

Meanwhile, the pre-order game will go live at midnight local time, wherever you are, on Friday, October 25.

But just to confuse things further, there is one exception to the rule.

This isn’t the case if you’re in North America.

For those in North America the game will launch at 6pm PDT, or 9pm EDT on October 24.

Keep in mind, Activision said those with digital copies on PS4 and Xbox One should “consult your console dashboard for accurate launch times in your region.”
