One of the most anticipated films in the MCU's Phase 4 is Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. which is due out May 7, 2021.Disney+ shows Loki and WandaVision will both directly tie into the Doctor Strange film, and now Marvel's Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige has said, while talking to the New York Film Academy, that it will also mark the debut of several new MCU players."Sometimes you're choosing [a] title hero," he explained, "choosing which main character or main team you want to bring to the screen and often times, it's as you're making and developing the movie [asking,] 'Who will come into it?' and 'Who will fit into it? The next Doctor Strange film, for instance, features some new MCU characters which will be making their debut in that movie.""You won't expect or won't guess who it is but we found a cool way to make it work because we want to make a particular type of movie there. And there was a character who we always wanted to do something with who will fit really well there."Who do you think these new MCU characters are? Or the one character Feige "always wanted to do something with" is? Could these players be one-and-done shots, for this film only, or do you think its a way to introduce larger conceptual heroes into the MCU? Like mutants or the Fantastic Four? The next projects in Marvel's Phase 4 slate are Black Widow, which releases May 1, followed by Disney+'s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier in the fall and The Eternals on November 6.
