Fall Guys Adding Cuphead Costume Later This Week

Mediatonic is collaborating with Studio MDHR to bring Cuphead to the colorful world of Fall Guys. The loveable cuphead-ed character will be available as the featured Fall Guys costume this coming Wednesday, with Mugman to follow on Saturday.

The designs look incredible – but they don’t come cheap. Each piece of the costume (Cuphead Top, Cuphead Bottom, Mugman Top, Mugman Bottom) costs five crowns, so you’re looking at a whopping 20 crowns if you’d like to purchase both full sets. Earning crowns is no easy feat in Fall Guys, making the task of completing the full set akin to beating the blisteringly difficult Cuphead itself.

While the collaboration was revealed today, the official Fall Guys Twitter account offered a hint about the upcoming content last week. “You know how we like to hide things in our tweets?” reads a recent announcement. “Maybe take a closer look at this one from February 1…”

The tweet in question was released right before Season 3.5 dropped – and sure enough there are several cup-themed easter eggs. Eagle-eyed fans were quickly able to pick out various cups scattered throughout the screenshots, making it pretty obvious Cuphead would be making an appearance in the battle royale.

Fall Guys was recently announced for both Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, finally giving players on systems other than PS4 a chance to join in on the battle royale madness. The title isn’t nearly as popular as it was during its peak in 2020, but hopefully, the jump to new consoles will give the fading title a population boost. Season 3.5 also kicked off earlier this month, bringing with it a brand new level, more than 40 variations to existing levels, a new DLC pack, and plenty of new costumes.

Fall Guys will be adding Cuphead this Wednesday with Mugman to follow on Saturday, with each full costume costing ten crowns. The game is currently available on PS4 and PC, although it’ll land on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S this summer.
