Ahead of the FIFA 23 gameplay reveal, details about its release date, beta, and crossplay functionality may have already leaked.
EA will be unveiling its next, and final, FIFA game later today. The new box art with cover stars Sam Kerr and Kylian Mbappé has already been unveiled, but we’ll be seeing some actual gameplay soon and no doubt the release date as well.
Although it’s quite easy to predict a general release window for FIFA games, with them usually coming out later September or early October, a specific date may have already leaked.
It was recently suggested that FIFA 23 will launch on September 30, which would make sense as that’s a Friday (the same day previous FIFA games launched).
However, it’s also said that this will be preceded by an early release of the game’s Ultimate Edition, will be on September 26 (a Monday).
EA did the same thing with FIFA 21 and 22, releasing their Ultimate Editions a few days before the standard edition, so there is precedent.
Lastly, a closed beta will become available on August 11. If that’s the case, then EA will definitely announce this either as part of today’s reveal trailer or shortly afterwards.
FIFA 23 releases this year for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
