Temtem is a brand new online open-world game coming out very soon – and if you were upset with the direction the newest Pokémon game took, then we've got some good news for you… Temtem could fill that hole in your heart.
Originally created with the help of a loyal legion of backers on Kickstarter, Temtem is the highly-anticipated title from Madrid-based studio Crema. The title – set to be published by Humble Bundle – seems to have everything it takes to take the world by storm.
The official game description reads: “Seek adventure in the lovely Airborne Archipelago alongside your Temtem squad. Catch every Temtem and battle tamers around the world.”
Sounds like the monster-taming adventure of your dreams, right? The good news is it's coming to PC and Steam very soon.
Temtem – What date and time does early access start?
Temtem will release for early access on PC and Steam on January 21st at 10 am PST / 1 pm EST / 6pm UK time / 7 pm CET.
It's worth noting that early access for Temtem will differ quite significantly from the full release.
Over on Steam , Crema writes:
“With our previous game, Immortal Redneck , it became clear that we should have involved the community early on in development and not have waited for the game’s release to start receiving feedback.
We made some assumptions that led to us not putting enough effort into certain areas of the game, and that ended up hurting the game’s perception by the public and got us off to a not-so-great start."
If you're looking to buy the game, it'll set you back the following amount depending on your region:
Temtem – When is the game's full release date?
Currently, we do not know when Temtem will leave early access – Crema wants to make sure the game is in the best shape it can possibly be before its launch to the world at large.
"Temtem will be in Early Access until we feel the game is complete enough for its release. Based on our current estimations that will be sometime during Q2 2021 or Q3 2021" the developer writes.
And what will differ between the initial launch and the final version of the game? Crema has detailed that, too:
“In terms of content, 50% of the game's content is already available including the 3 first islands, 80+ Temtem and over 20h of gameplay with the current campaign content."
The final version of the game aims to include over 141 Temtem, with more to come over time.
The early access version of the game is only available on PC and Steam, but the full version of the game is due to launch on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, too.
