Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order Release Date Announced

After a 10 year absence, the Marvel Ultimate Alliance comes back with its newest installment, The Black Order, which was revealed at The Game Awards this past December. Superhero fans will have the chance to create their dream team to fight their way across the Marvel Universe with both new heroes and iconic characters.

With four player, drop in drop out co-op, players can go online or play locally to take on a quest to get the Infinity Stones back from Thanos and The Black Order, which are ultimately the Children of Thanos – as seen previously causing havoc in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War.

Characters who have been confirmed range from absolute series mainstays like the Hulk, Iron Man, Wolverine, and Spider-Man, to newer Marvel characters such as Black Panther, Deadpool, Spider-Gwen, Miles Morales and Captain Marvel.

Other than the usual team up attacks and Marvel Universe spanning locations, Marvel also reiterated the series’ newest feature: Heroic Camera. It is essentially an over-the-shoulder view that gets you closer to the action. You can also play with a single Joy-Con, so you can save the world with a friend, without having a backpack full of controllers.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order will release on July 19, 2019, in-store and on the Nintendo eShop for $59.99 USD. Preorders in the US are available at Amazon right now.
