MMORPG Lost Ark Is Coming To The West This Fall

It’s been announced during the Summer Game Fest that MMORPG Lost Ark will launch in the West in Fall later this year.

According to the Lost Ark website, the game offers players an “immersive, action-centric playing style” and supports a “dynamic quarter-view angle” to get the most out of the game. Lost Ark is going to be published by Amazon Games and is slated for launch in Fall later this year. Unfortunately, there is no concrete release date, but we’ll likely learn more during the months between September and December.

For those who haven’t heard of Lost Ark, the game has players defending the world from the attack of Kazeros’ demon army, as Kazeros has opened the Chaos Gate with his six legions to invade the human world. The player is tasked with exploring the world to find the pieces of a legendary Ark that will help defeat Kazeros and his demon army.

Developed by Tripod Studio and Smilegate, Lost Ark has released in Korea in 2018 and has won multiple awards in various different categories during the Korean Game Awards in 2019, including the Grand Prize/President’s Award. The game then came to both Russia and Japan as an open beta and is finally now coming to more Western countries this Fall.

Lost Ark’s western release date was revealed during Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest in which a tonne of brand new, exciting games were also announced. Just a small selection of these titles include a new Metal Slug take on a tactical role-playing game, a sequel to Jurassic World Evolution, a Director’s Cut for Death Stranding which is due a full reveal in a few weeks and a sequel to soulsbourne inspired indie title Salt and Sanctuary.

This is a developing story.
