Yukari Takeba is one of the very first members of the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad – SEES, for short – that you’re introduced to in Persona 3 Portable. A passionate archer in her free time and rather popular at Gekkoukan High School, Yukari’s busy schedule means she might take some time to get to know, especially as the male protagonist.

How To Unlock The Lovers Social Link
Male Protagonist
When playing as the male protagonist, Yukari's Social Link won't begin until after your trip to Yakushima, on 7/25.
On or after this date, speak to her after class to begin her Social Link.
However, as the male protagonist, you'll need to have reached Rank 6 (Max) Charm before you can begin the Social Link. She won't spend free time with you outside SEES group events until reaching this rank in your Charm.
Knowing about the skill lock ahead of time and the date on which you can begin your social link, though, should give you ample time to dedicate time to boost your Charm stat before the 7/25 start date.
With only three social stats for you to worry about in Persona 3 Portable, plan your days accordingly, and you should reach the requisite amount of Charm in no time!
Female Protagonist
Interestingly, the female protagonist doesn't have a skill lock on any of the three social stats to reach before she can begin Yukari's Social Link.
Because of this, you don't have to wait to start hanging out! Yukari becomes available as a social link beginning on 4/28, and you can simply speak to her to begin the social link.
Regardless which protagonist you choose, always remember to bring a Persona of the Lovers arcana when hanging out with Yukari.
This grants an extra affinity point earned every time you choose an answer that awards points!
Yukari's Social Link In Persona 3 Portable
While the implication is that she's dating the male protagonist but only friends with the female protagonist, Yukari's social link is the same between both protagonists.
Make the same choices in these scenes regardless of which protagonist you chose.
