A big theme of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is that Ratchet and Rivet are working for the resistance against the Emperor. It’s through this narrative that they constantly meet Ms. Zurkon, who sells you the various weapons you use in the game. She also asks you to go and rescue her ten Spybots, who are hidden in various hard to reach areas of the map. There are ten Spybots in total, spread across the nine planets – that’s one to a planet each, with two up for grabs at Scarstu Debris Field, AKA Zurkie’s.
What do Spybots do in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart?
If you have nine or fewer Spybots, they do very little. You get a sense of pride and achievement in finding them, I guess, and it makes Ms. Zurkon happy, but as far as actual physical rewards go, not a lot. That all changes once you get all ten. Once you have a full selection, Ms. Zurkon will reward you with a legendary Ratchet & Clank weapon – the RYNO 8. If you want to rip this universe a new one, you’ll need all ten Spybots on hand.
Of course, to unlock that, you’ll need to collect every Spybots in the game, which means hitting each planets each planet. We have individual walkthroughs of each planet, which will help you find every collectible and guide you through the missions and side quests too – not just the Spybots. However, if you’re just looking to pick up the RYNO, keep reading for a quick overview of the Spybots on each planet.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – Where to find the Spybots on Scarstu Debris Field (Zurkie’s)
There are Spybots at Zurkie’s – one in the open world and one as a reward the Arena. The first Spybot is on a platform behind Zurkie’s – you’ll need to take the right path around Zurkie’s rather than heading inside, and from there you can jump on a slingshot that will send you over to the playform. The second is in the Gold Cup, Round 4. This challenge is Vroom Around: Defeat Vroom Goons in Low Gravity.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – Where to find the Spybot on Savali
The Spybot on Savali can be found in a cave on the north side, near the middle of the map. Jump up near the boost pad on the ground into the cave, then follow it through before swinging over the gap and landing on an old boat. The Spybot is on the deck.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – Where to find the Spybot on Blizar Prime
The Spybot on Blizar Prime is a reward for completing the quest Find The Missing Chef.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – Where to find the Spybot on Torren IV
The Spybot on Torren IV can be found on the second island. Once you swing across to it, take the path on the right which turns into a Mag Surface. At the end of this path, the Spybot will be waiting for you.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – Where to find the Spybot on Cordelion
The Spybot on Cordelion can be found just before you activate the Forge (and break it) in the living dimension. If you missed it, it’s in the room you warp into on your second visit. It’s on a high platform you can rift to form the podium with the Forge controls.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – Where to find the Spybot on Ardolis (Pirate Base)
The Spybot on Ardolis (Pirate Base) can be found at the very north tip of the northeast island – you will not visit here in the story, so you will need to hunt it out specifically. If you complete the Treasure Hunt quest, you’ll get a map that reveals the location of every Spybot, which should be useful in your hunt too.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – Where to find the Spybot on Viceron (Zordoom Prison)
The Spybot on Viceron (Zordoom Prison) can be found inside the vents. Once you make your way outside of the first prison section, head around to the jump pad then wall run and swing until you find your way around the building. There’s a fan you can break here, and once you smash it you can enter the vents and make your way down the right path to reach the Spybot.
With that, you should have every Spybot in the game. Head back to Ms. Zurkon to get a RYNO 8 for the princely sum of zero bolts.
