Sims 4 Players Love Flirting With Death, Literally

Let's face it, The Sims 4 isn't the most realistic game. If only it were as easy to make friends in real life, as it is in the game – high-fiving someone constantly, until they become your BFF. Add to that the cheap real estate, constantly flowing job offers, and over two friends, and you might even start to think that the game is nothing like real life at all.

What if I told you that there are people who love flirting with death in the game? That is, unfortunately, quite like real life. But this is The Sims 4, so there has to be some bizarre twist – like, when I say "flirting with death", I mean literally making a move on the Grim Reaper.

For those who aren't aware, the Grim Reaper is an actual NPC in The Sims 4, who comes to help deceased Sims move on to the other side. Once ol' hood-and-sickle shows up, your Sim can actually interact with him in a number of ways, including romantically. Sure, you may eventually be able to WooHoo him, and even move in with him, but he's mostly a drifting soul with commitment issues. I suppose it comes with being death incarnate. However, there is a small chance that you might be able to lock it down with him.

As spotted by PCGN, one Redditor managed to make things official with the Grim Reaper, posting a notification that said the Grim Reaper wanted to take things to the next level with their Sim, Maribel. Amusing as that is, the comments section was filled with jealous and spurned exes, who weren't able to make it work with him.

"I had my Sim flirt with him and he said he wasn’t interested in me," said one comment, while another who tried a bit harder said, "read that if you add him to your household romance is possible but I've tried several times with no luck".

It seems, however, that Grim Reaper has a type. Another comment said that they managed to make it work with the deliverer of souls, and their Sim's name was also Maribel. Wait, is he two-timing Maribel with Maribel?
