Xbox One Games with Gold subscribers don’t have to wait too much longer until they discover what games Microsoft will have up for download in the coming month.
The existing crop of Xbox Games with Gold titles for April will be delisted soon, and as ever, Microsoft’s Major Nelson will unveil the new Xbox One and Xbox 360 titles before the changeover happens.
In previous months, Microsoft has made the Games with Gold announcement live on or just after the 22nd of the month.
This isn’t always the case though – earlier this year, the announcement came fairly late (but that could have been because February is a short month).
At the time of writing, there haven’t been too many hints as to what we can expect from Microsoft this month… but we imagine something may crop up soon (let’s be honest – this industry isn’t the tightest ship around, eh?)
In the meantime, though, make sure you download the current crop of Xbox Games With Gold titles.
As mentioned players may notice some rumours and leaks in the days ahead, especially given Microsoft’s propensity to accidentally reveal the games on the Xbox dashboard before making the announcement official.
Although, we suspect that they won’t announce them until after Major Nelson has revealed this week’s new Deal with Gold discounts on Tuesday.
It’s also worth noting to take any sites ‘predictions’ with a massive dollop of salt, since, there’s not really any form or formula for suggesting what games Xbox could look to include.
It’s potluck at the best of times.
We suppose, the only games you could suggest, are original Xbox titles, since in recent months Xbox have made more efforts to include those retro titles when they can.
In the past two months, we’ve seen Xbox Originals included, such as: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy and Star Wars Republic Commando.
Here’s what we saw back in March, telling us what was coming this month – here’s what you need to know.
The lineup of games, which went live on Monday (April 1st) includes Technomancer and Outcast: Second Contact on Xbox One.
Over on Xbox 360, Star Wars Battlefront II and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 are available (though you can also enjoy these via Xbox Backwards compatibility on Xbox One, too).
According to Microsoft, April’s lineup provides over $109.96 (£82) in value and up to 3000 in gamerscore. Not bad!
