Skyrim fans will soon be able to play through the game with their friends online from this weekend.
The long-awaited Skyrim Together Reborn mod is now confirmed for release this Friday, giving groups of two to eight players the chance to complete quests together, collect items, and play with one another.
The mod has been in development by a team of dedicated fans since 2016, but was scrapped and restarted again in 2019.

The creators of the mod say that they wanted to make Skyrim multiplayer because many Bethesda fans "felt as though [Elder Scrolls Online] and Fallout 76 simply didn't fit the bill, providing more of an MMO experience than a co-op one".
The bad news for console gamers is that Skyrim Together Reborn is only available for PC. You'll need Skyrim Special Edition 1.6 installed on Steam, as the VR, console, Legendary and Gamepass editions aren't compatible.
Instructions for installing the mod will be released on Friday, July 8th, so if you want to start playing this weekend, now might be a good time to clear the decks and install a compatible version of the original game ahead of downloading the mod.

The fifth instalment in the iconic Elder Scrolls series, Skyrim is still one of the most popular games in the world despite being released almost 11 years ago.
Bethesda has continually released remastered versions of the game for next-gen consoles, but excitement is continuing to mount for the sequel, Elder Scrolls 6.
The game is reportedly in pre-production with its release date still unconfirmed, as Bethesda works to complete its much-anticipated Microsoft exclusive, Starfield, which is due for release in the first half of 2023.
