One of Google’s announced features for its game-streaming Stadia platform is a type of YouTube integration that will allow you to begin playing a game while you’re watching a video about it.
To demonstrate the new YouTube integration, Google showed the trailer for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and the new “Play” button creators can add to YouTube videos. Once the trailer is over, Stadia users can click the button and begin playing on their device of choice.
State Share, another promised Stadia feature, lets streamers or developers share playable scenarios with Stadia users. Internet personality Matthew Patrick, better known as MatPat, made the presentation outlining the possibilities of State Share, and what it means for streamers, developers and gamers alike.
“Think about this: a one thousand player Battle Royale match,” he said, saying Stadia unlocks possibilities across YouTube.
Google also showed off its new, wi-fi connected Stadia controller, which has the instructions for the Konami code printed on the bottom.
