Free-to-play football game eFootball has been given a makeover for the new season.
The 2024 edition of the hit PS5 and Xbox Series X title features a host of revamped gameplay tweaks as well as updated teams to bring all the blockbuster real-life summer transfers into the game.
So Declan Rice is now starting for Arsenal and Harry Kane is scoring plenty in German for Munich.
And the makers reckon it all amounts to a “landmark” in the game’s journey to video game sporting dominance.
Argentinian legend Lionel Messi remains the face of the game for another year.
He’s the cover star of the game and gets his own Leo Messi Edition with purchasable add-ons.

Maker Konami has retained a roster of partner clubs including some of the sport’s most iconic teams, like Man Utd, Barcelona, Inter and AC Milan.
These teams will see their kits, stadiums, and squads updated in-game to reflect the new season.
And eFootball remains the only place where users can play in iconic venues such as Allianz Arena, Spotify Camp Nou, San Siro, and Stadio Olimpico.
In the gameplay, Konami has added ‘boosters’ which allow you to enhance a player’s unique skills beyond the normal 99point maximum.
It means global stars like Saka, Neymar and Kane will occasionally perform above and beyond the norm to deliver a match-changing performance.
Users can exaggerate the individual skills and attributes of various players within their ‘Dream Team’.
And there has been improvement to both dribbling and tackling at the heart of the game thanks to fan feedback.
A spokesman said: “Improved control responses will allow users to replicate the split-second decisions made at the elite level of football, thus enabling players to control the ball more closely and even dribble through congested situations.
“The enhancement of accuracy in individual skills will enable users to coordinate their team and their tactical models to a superior level and create more goal-scoring opportunities on the virtual field.”
Those who already own the game will get rewards with the launch of the new ‘Startup Campaign’.
Through a series of Login Bonuses, users can gain 4 ‘Chance Deals’, 360,000 GP, 60,000 EXP, and 120 eFootball Coins.
It is free to download on consoles now.
