Can’t find a PlayStation Portal? Get a Backbone One for cheapest price at Argos

The PlayStation Portal has been hugely popular since launch, selling out quickly after going on sale. Fortunately, however, there are some fantastic alternatives, especially if you have an iPhone and a decent internet connection. Earning 4-stars in our review, the Backbone One is one such device that’s capable of transforming your iPhone into a handheld gaming console. One of the big drawbacks of the device is the £100 price tag, although thanks to the Black Friday sales, this is no longer an issue. As you can see from the link below, the Backbone One iOS Edition is reduced to the low price of £69.99 at Argos.

Gamers fans can transform their iOS devices into gaming handhelds capable of streaming PlayStation and Xbox releases.

“Backbone transforms your iPhone into the ultimate gaming console,” reads the official description.

“Snap in and play any game or service that supports controllers including Apple Arcade, or even stream directly from your PlayStation or PC with PS Remote Play and Steam Link.

“No charging, no waiting for updates, no tedious setup. Uncover a new world of premium gaming in seconds.”

While it doesn’t feature the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers of the DualSense, the design is reminiscent of the Sony controller.

The white colour scheme used for PlayStation Edition of the Backbone One looks fantastic, fitting in perfectly with the DualSense controllers in your gaming room.

Speaking of Black Friday, PlayStation Plus subscriptions are currently available at a discounted price from the PlayStation Store.

Available at different rates depending on whether you’re a new or existing subscriber, annual PS Plus Essential subscriptions cost £47.99, Extra memberships are priced at £74.99, and Premium subscriptions cost £83.99.

If, however, you want to save even more on PS Plus subscriptions, then you might want to visit CD Keys.

The retailer is selling £45 PlayStation Store cards for £39.99, £50 cards for £45.99, and £100 cards for £87.99.

Customers can use this credit to purchase games from the PlayStation Store, or put it towards the cost of PS Plus subscriptions, which are already reduced in price.
