Fortnite developer Epic Games is about to release a new Hotfix for its hugely popular OG season. Fresh off the back of a record-breaking weekend in terms of player counts, Epic Games will fire up the time machine and move things forward to Season 6. The Fortnite Season 6 hotfix has a November 9 release date. While there’s no official launch time, hotfix updates typically go live in the early afternoon, between 1-3pm GMT UK time. Express Online will update this article with any official announcements once they go live.
The S6 release date was announced by Epic Games at the start of the OG season, alongside a preview of what fans can expect.
“Darkness Rises again in Loot Lake!” reads the official description. “During the v27.00 Nov 9 hotfix, give opponents frights with weapons that were in Season 6. Also have delights with the Quadcrasher, Mounted Turret, and more!”
As you can see from the image below, the hotifx will bring back Kevin the Cube, which will be located in Loot Lake.
In addition to Kevin the Cube, Epic Games will unvault various weapons and items that originally appeared in Season 6.
This includes the Driftboard, which was actually introduced in Season 7, but is making an early appearance.
Other items making a return as part of the Season 6 hotfix include weapons like the Double Barrel Shotgun.
That’s on top of the hugely satisfying Six Shooter gun and the explosive Clinger weapon.
Returning defensive items, meanwhile, include the Port-a-Fortress fort, the Chiller Trap and the Mounted Turrets.
Finally, fans will be able to “burst onto the scene” with the returning Quadcrasher vehicle, which will probably factor in to a challenge or two.
