The next batch of Xbox Game Pass releases have been revealed by Microsoft. Launching in the coming days and weeks, the August 2023 line-up includes indie hit Firewatch, as well as brand new release Sea of Stars.Fans can also check out stylish platform game Gris, as well as brand new multiplayer horror game The Texas Chainsaw Masscare. It all begins with atmospheric adventure game Firewatch, which makes its Xbox Game Pass debut on August 17. The first-person mystery game will be available to play on Xbox consoles, as well as on PC and other devices via cloud gaming.
“Firewatch is a single-player, first-person mystery set in the Wyoming wilderness, where your only emotional lifeline is the person on the other end of a handheld radio,” reads the Firewatch description.
“You’ll explore a wild and unknown environment, facing questions and making choices that can build or destroy the only meaningful relationship you have.”
Firewatch will be followed by asymmetrical horror game The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which sees a team of players attempt to survive the Slaughter family.
“Take on the role of one of the notorious Slaughter family, or their victims, in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, a third-person asymmetrical horror experience based on the groundbreaking and iconic 1974 horror film.
“Experience the mad and macabre for yourself in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.”
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre will also be playable on consoles, PC and via Microsoft’s cloud gaming platform.

Sea of Stars – which is also available on PlayStation Plus Extra will launch for Xbox Game Pass on August 29.
“Sea of Stars is a turn-based RPG inspired by the classics. It tells the story of two Children of the Solstice who combine the powers of the sun and moon to perform Eclipse Magic, the only force capable of fending off the monstrous creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer.”
Finally, Gris will come to cloud, Xbox consoles and PC on September 5. Players will navigate the world as a girl who is dealing with a painful experience.
